My Sporting Career
Growing up as an Arsenal fan, and playing soccer with my family and friends at home and at school every day, was definitely what started my love for the sport. I decided at a young age that I wanted to join a soccer team, and ended up doing so at just 6 years old. My career has only grown from that day and I am now playing at both a Division I university and internationally for Portugal, which has always been a dream of mine.

This is a local boys Sunday league team. My best friends dad was the coach and asked if I wanted to join the team at just 6 years old. We trained once a week and played a game every Saturday. I was on this team for about 2 years before being scouted for my first women's team.
I joined Watford Ladies when I was 8 years old. This was my first time playing on an all girls team and it was definitely something I was not used to. I stayed here for a year before trialing at another women's academy.
I played at Middlesex Ladies for 2 years. This was where I really improved as a player and learned what I needed to do to become a professional soccer player. I started training individually, outside of practices, and worked hard on improving my technical ability.
I trialed for Arsenal every year since playing for Middlesex Ladies and eventually made their u11s team. This was a dream come true for me and I worked hard every year to make it through the age groups. My Arsenal career was 8 years long, during which I won many FA Youth Cups, and even made my senior debut (December 2018).
I made my Portuguese National Team debut in 2017 with the u15s. I have worked my way up the age groups and currently play for the u23s. I was part of the u17s team to make the European Championships in Bulgaria, where we made the semi-finals and were one of the top 4 teams in Europe. It has always been my dream to make the first team, and I am working hard everyday to make that a reality.
I moved to the States in pursuit of both my academic and sporting goals at Rice University in 2020. Joining the DI Women's Soccer team has allowed me to further my development, not only technically but physically too. Playing in the CUSA and AAC conferences, and playing against some of the best soccer players in the US, has allowed me to add strength to explosive power to my game.
